More (Stolen) Lilacs & Leo...

Photobucket

This morning I went back to the park for more lilacs (see the previous post for details of my weekend lilac heist)... There were still lots of blossoms at their very peak, but many were already fading, so I knew this was probably my last chance to get any this year. Back at home I gathered some "springy" props; my nest, Daddy's typewriter, some antique postcards, lace...the fabric I used as a backdrop actually has lilacs and nests, but unfortunately, very little of it shows...
I guess you can have too much of a good thing...;)

Photobucket

Leo checks out the set-up...look at how the lilacs reflect on his face...aren't light and color amazing?

Photobucket

"No, Tallulah...Mom says you can't be still and that this is MY photo shoot!"

Photobucket

Hmmm....What's this??

Photobucket

Hey ~ Is that catnip down in Grandpa's typewriter?? Who put that there??....

Photobucket

Hey, ya'll!....There is catnip in there....No, really!

Photobucket

I can't get it, though...shoot...it's almost like someone put it there just to get me to stay up here in the middle of all this stuff...

Photobucket

Well, that's enough of that...I'm leaving!!

Photobucket

I'm outta here...

Photobucket

Cyrus takes advantage of the sunshine (and a clear space to lie down) after the photo set-up is taken down...and you know, there were all these catnip leaves under the typewriter! (Look at that face!)

Happy Wednesday, all!

  18. First of all thank you for blessing me with a visit and second of all I love, love, love your blog over here! So beautiful and soothing. This post here today makes me anxious for my lilac's to bloom! Did you know that if you take a hammer and smash the ends of the stems about two or three inches up that they will last longer? The more water they can take in the more beauty you will have in bloom =O) Happy Wednesday to you and I love love love these beautiful pictures!

You kittys and all your beautiful pics are just to die for gorgeous. Love the typewriter photo shoot. I have golden gooseberries around 20 minutes from where I live. I used to help a friend pick them. They were very thorny and not friendly at all to your hands. I love your blog. Thank you for visiting my little blog.]
