I know, I know....more tuberoses...
;^)...

I was experimenting with taking photos tonight with only the patio light...and I just had to share them...:)
♥ ♥ ♥
My post tonight is really about Cypress Vines, though...
Are you familiar with them? Such tough little plants; they sprout in about three days, and then they climb and climb...on anything available! Bright red is the most common (they're also called Cardinal Vine), but there are also white and bright pink varieties (you can see some pink ones in the photo above...)

We have them coming up EVERYWHERE...even in the joint lines in the patio concrete!
I have seeds I'd be happy to share, and if you live anywhere you don't get a frost until late fall, it's not too late to plant some this year...
Or, you could save them for next year...:)
If you'd like some, e-mail me at anne@octobermoondesigns.com ~
See you tomorrow...Have a wonderful Wednesday!

You have got me hooked on the tuberoses, so I am happy to see more pics of them! I am not familiar with Cyprus vine, I will need to look that one up. It looks very pretty.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the photos, especially no.2 and 3. The Cypress vine certainly looks vigorous. I like its fern-like foliage.

ReplyDeleteI've never seen or heard of the Cypress Vine before but the little flowers look so delicate and pretty.
ReplyDeleteHi Anne..
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful vine!
I haven't heard of it before... and I'm off to send you an email too :)
Do you think that I would still have time to grow them here?
Thanks for sharing your pretty pictures, and for sharing seeds!
Smiles :)

Two plants I need to put on my list of plants to add to my garden! Wonderful photos.
ReplyDeleteThe Tuberose's are lovely..I'm not a fan of vines..They are too invasive..They can be really nice away from the house in their own space.
ReplyDeleteHi, thanks for visiting my blog and following. I am now following your fun blog as well. Those Cypress Vines are interesting. I don't think I have seen those around here in Arizona. I am looking forward to more of your interesting posts and beautiful photographs! Have a great Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteThanks for finding me and visiting and hello to you!
ReplyDeleteIs the Cypress Vine invasive where it will choke out other plants . . . Very pretty flower.
I will read up on it and on you . . . Like your blog title!
THanks for visiting and following me.... I, also, love your blog... very uplifting and fun!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean,,, I didnt have a cloche for the longest time and was dying to get one so I could join in the many parties one finds on blogland. I was thrilled to find mine in a local consignment shop!
Wow, impressive photos!
ReplyDeleteHi Anne! Your blog is awesome! I love your photography and your art. Thanks so much for coming over to visit and for following me today, and I am now your newest follower.
ReplyDeleteHope that you are having a wonderful week,
Kathy M.
Anne, I love that vine. The little trumpet flowers are sweet. Smiles, Susie
ReplyDeleteVery interesting little vines. I love your first shots too!
ReplyDeleteI was so happy to have you visit. :) I didn't plant any cardinal vines this year but wish I had. I did plant some moon flower vines and they are just getting some buds on them. I am sorry about your petunias. I love sweet little petunias but boy if you miss one day of watering them in this intense heat they lose their leaves and look awful. My Picassos are the only ones still looking decent. Love that purple with the pop of bright green on them.
ReplyDeleteI think you do a very nice job with photographing flowers.
ReplyDeleteHello Anne!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for dropping in and leaving a sweet comment! Your blog is wonderful, I adore your vintage pics and beautiful photography! :D
Hugs,
How pretty the Cyprus vines are. Would they grow in an English cottage garden? Jane xx
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos of the flowers. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteHi, Thanks for stopping by and becoming a follower. I haven't been able to finish painting in my kitchen as I ran out of paint! My daughter will go to Parker and get more for me and I'll drive to Denver next week and get it. I most likely should have thinned the paint a little as it was rather thick, but I wanted to cover the doors. Good luck with your painting. Mine looks so clean and bright!♥♫
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and following along! I'm now a follower of you!

ReplyDeleteI love your page! You take beautiful, beautiful pictures. I love gardening and I love your flowers. I don't have zenia's but you have inspired me - I want some of those colorful ones that look like they've been painted like fairies in my garden next year. And now - I'm going to be your newest follower. I just have to find that follow button!
ReplyDeleteGood evening, Anne~

Anne what lovely pictures. Who could tire of seeing your turberoses. They are gorgeous...the cypress vine - is it a perennial or does it just reseed? I don't think we have any here in Ohio.
ReplyDeleteAnne, a Cypress vine is new to me, your photos are fabulous! We both have gorgeous cats, I have a ragdoll, I kind of feel like a dance Mom living vicariously through my gorgeous child LOL! There is a picture of "Billie" in today's post, so nice to meet you!!
ReplyDeleteCarol
I'm unfamiliar with Cypress vine but love those blooms. I have to get one!
