Rain!

Photobucket ♥ ♥ ♥
Thankfully, we finally got some rain this evening, a little over an inch, and it's still raining lightly...
So happy! (So is the garden!)
I hope everyone else that needs rain is as fortunate...♥

Also, in the mail today I got this lovely kitchen towel (I can button it right on the oven handle!) from Mare Ball of Adventures in the Ballpark for being her 100th follower...
Thank you so much, Mare!...It's too pretty to use!

Look at my Sweet Annie...she looks like she's growing cheerleading pom-poms! Is this the way she's supposed to look? :)

And the last thing tonight...

Today I was going through some things and re-found (a perk of being un-organized...re-finding items you've forgotten about...) this wonderful vintage postcard...
Isn't it the cutest thing?
It's titled "The Portrait Painter", by Margaret W.Tarrant.
There's so much going on!
One of the bunny "sitters" is running away;  another is s-l-i-p-p-i-n-g off the Pixie's lap...
and the mice are having a field day with the artist's paints...

Such fun...I think that's what art is all about!

 Have a wonderful Friday, all!

  3. Rain is a miracle- glad ya'll got some.

after 100 degree days we had 3 nights of glorious rain and I really thought I could hear the plants and trees singing, shouting with Joy and giving thanks... as was I.

  4. We got the scent of rain in the air with no rain last night. We need rain, too. But - just the smell of rain was enough to let me know that we've not been forgotten. God will send us rain when He is good and ready. And I'll look for way to enjoy this dry spell until then. Swimming is always good. At least there is water involved.

  11. That is just darling!!! I love that old postcard. Your towel is great, too. One of my friends sent me a similar one and I don't use it either cuz I don't want to wreck it. How funny, huh?

We finally got some rain, too...thank goodness. I lost my sweet Annie when we moved and can't find it anywhere around here. Don't you just love it? I love the way you can add it to a flower arrangement and it lasts and lasts and lasts (after the initial wilt when you put it in the water).

Blessings to you today- xo Diana

  19. Glad you like the kitchen towel. :-) Just a little something. I don't use mine fully, just to dry damp hands. I always have a regular towel close by for the hard work. :-) So glad you got some rain!!
