...And transferware, and lace....just a few of my favorite things! (I have lots of favorite things!); isn't this a sunny vignette? It's no wonder blue and orange are complimentary colors; they just make each other sing!
"I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils."
- William Wordsworth

I really love the lace shadows here (above)...♥
My favorite transferware plate...it's called "Pomona"; I've never seen another piece of it. Fruit and flower themes are a favorite of mine, in red/pink as well as blue transferware.
The little cobalt blue hobnail bowl is another piece that was my Mom's...♥
Taking photos early this morning with the sunshine streaming in was so enjoyable! Of course, I always manage to somehow take dozens...sometimes even hundreds...in a very short amount of time ~ then I don't want to delete any, as I'm afraid I'll accidently delete the ONE that will be a perfect basis for a painting!... I prefer to compose the painting exactly with my camera (well, very close, anyway), instead of taking one element from one photo, something else from another, etc. I need to learn to quickly scan my photos and keep only the best! ♥
Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

I was just telling my daughter today that I find it so hard to delete even "not so great" photos I take, when I have taken about 150 basically of one subject from all directions and angles. I smiled reading your post saying much the same thing! May I say that this post is awesome! I am a pastel girl with shades of lavender to purple mixed in and rarely use the bright oranges and yellows, but these photos truly pop and are stunning. Sharp, vibrant, energizing to be sure. The partially peeled orange or necturine is devine. If I were not eating yummy red grapes as I visit blogs tonight, I would have to get up and peel a naval orange. While I do not usually photograph the bright colors, I love to eat them, healthy colors. Blessings.
