Today was Tallulah's spay day...she did fine; however, we've never brought a little kitty-girl home from the vet's this soon ~ in the past they've spent the night. Now they've changed it to where they go home late in the afternoon of the surgery day. Same-Day/Outpatient Surgery is now the norm for furbabies, too, I guess...
♥
I should be ashamed for taking her picture in this undignified state, but it was just so darned cute...she came out from her "leave me alone" place under the bed and went to get a bite to eat, but just fell back asleep, practically in the bowl...
♥
Here she is in her "spot" between us in bed...I'm a little concerned about her jumping down in the night...
♥
"Woozy Woo"...do you do this? ...Put all this thought into the perfect name for a furbaby, then turn it into something silly? "Tallulah" became "Lula", and before I knew it, "Lula" became "Woo-wah", and finally just "Woo"...
I hope I'm not the only one...:^)
Have a great Thursday!

Hi Anne: Miss Woo looks so tired. That stuff really takes a lot out of them. We have to sedate Buddy just to go to the vet he hates it so badly. Of, course, it never starts working until after we get him back home! I've got a few pictures of him looking like a bloodhound! His name goes from Buddy to Bud to Budweiser to Budley and finally to the one I usually call him is Poo..Happy Thursday..Judy Hope Miss Tallulah feels better in the morning.
ReplyDeleteAw - hope she has a speedy recovery.

Oh poor baby! My daughter is taking her Pom Lacie next week to be spayed. She always worries something will happen during surgery. I am glad everything went fine with Miss Woo. Our pets names change to. Daisy May gets called May-May and Duke gets called Poo-py (I am not sure why, Chantel says it is like puppy)My son Gage I sometimes call Gager Pager (again, no idea why) and Chantel gets called Chantilly Lace. Funny. I hope Miss Woo feels ship shape soon.
ReplyDeleteLooks like me a few years back when I had a tooth extracted. My hubby said I spoke nonsense on the way home in the car and then fell asleep. I can't remember a word I said! Hope she is feeling much brighter today. We used to have a rabbit called Snowbell which got changed to Snowbob or Snowy at times.
ReplyDeleteAww, poor thing! They do seem to get over this operation very quickly though, which is good.
ReplyDeleteYears ago one of our girls had removed her skin sutures before we even got her home! I stuck her back together with steri-strips and she was fine!
Sweet fur baby! Hope she does well!
ReplyDelete"Woo"....that is SO cute! One of our 7 dogs name is Madeline and it went from Madeline to Maddie to Madd to Moo Moo and now it's just Moo. Tee hee!!
Love,
LuLu~*xoxo
I remember our cat going thru that . Wish the neighbors cat had the surgery. They have 10 white cats...look like little ghost at night. Smiles, Susie
ReplyDeleteHow sweet she is. Yes, I have nic-names for all the cats and will post that sometime. I guess we all do it :) Give her a hug for me. Deb
ReplyDeleteI hope she continues to do very well...she's beautiful. Yes, I've always given my pets "many" names. Silly names, too!!!!!
ReplyDeleteShe is lovely and all of her names fit her purrfectly.
ReplyDeleteWe call Bluebell and Romsey, our own cats, lots of different other names. Bluebell is often, 'Blueby' and 'Romsey' becomes 'Rommo' from time to time.
ReplyDeleteWishing that beautiful Tallulah a speedy recovery! She will probably be wide awake today!
ReplyDeleteShe's going to recover faster, and feel better being home.
ReplyDeleteI really hate leaving any of our pets over night at the vets.
Yes.. we end up shortening our pets names, or changing their names too... silly.
Lot's of times our Rowdy gets called 'smudge'.
Woo is so cute. She looks exhausted. I hope she's feeling better today.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, you kitty is so cute! Yes, we do silly names for our little dog. His name is McKinely but we call him Mac for short and then to Mackie, then we call him Mac a wak attack, or Skunk a Monk. I think Skunk a Monk comes from Monkey. That was one of the names we were thinking of naming him and calling him Monks for short. I hope your little fur baby is doing well with her recovery. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your girl did well!! Watching them post op can be a bit entertaining, a bit like people can be!
ReplyDeleteBut I know what you mean about the nicknames--Don't even get me started about what some of our dogs names have changed into--One of our past dogs was named "Manny" that turned into Cubby...I guess it's really just who they are! :-)
Anne I love her name - I think they do send them home from the vet a little woozy. I can tell she is in good hands though. Love Pix
ReplyDeletei used to call my daughter geezy goo goo!lol!!!
ReplyDeleteoh she looks so tiny and precious..love the one with the hand petting her..oh our kittys have so many nicknames that they don't even go by their given names..Millie Jean was then Millicent, silly milly, jelly belly and now J J..;)lol..hope your baby is doing better today:)
ReplyDeleteLOL- We did that with the grandkids' names....so you are not alone.
ReplyDeleteLook at that sweet baby, asleep and recovering. At least she is not in pain while she sleeps. xo Diana
Awww...poor, sweet thing. She's had a tough time of it, but she'll be back to her normal self in no time. She's such a cutie.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty cat! Hope she is feeling better. xo
